We believe that there could be an aviary suitable for housing birds in virtually every zoo setting, for all climates and species, so we provided a tool to inform and inspire, to enable exchange of ideas, innovations and project information among zoo professionals at all levels.
This information-sharing resource is developed with the aim of helping each zoo to find the aviary solution that works for its situation and location, and to further collective knowledge and experience in order to build aviaries that are suitable for the species housed, at an affordable price.
